The majority of today’s renewable energy sources generate its power natively in direct current (DC). To integrate this power into an on line double conversation alternating current (AC) power path one must invert the power to AC at the renewable source, rectify it to DC at the UPS, invert the power back to AC and then rectify it back to DC at the point of load. There are numerous power losses before using a single watt of clean energy for business processing.

With the Validus  DC topology the renewable energy source can deliver its native power directly to the DC power infrastructure and never experience the waste of even a single inversion. This enables the renewable energy source to provide power directly to the IT equipment, the most energy efficient way to leverage green power.
